Bio

Pavlo, 20, was born in Ukraine and studied violin, piano, conducting and theory at Kyiv Specialized Music School (Violin – Tetiana Snizhna). He came to Chicago due to the war in his home country and now studies with Almita Vamos. He has won prizes in many competitions, including in Ukraine: “The Voice of the Country” in the conducting and music theory categories, the “Lviv Virtuosi” competition, and the International Leonid Kogan Competition.

Professional musician currently a student at the Roosevelt University CCPA (Chicago College of Performing Arts). Overall GPA: 3.92.

Pavlo had an opportunity to play in a masterclass with Midori Goto in the Fall of 2023. Also, Pavlo played on a masterclass with Benny Kim (Chautauqua 2024) and Bin Huang. Played on the Performance Class with David Taylor at Roosevelt University.

Graduated from Music Institute of Chicago Academy (2022-2023), a pre-conservatory training program for gifted musicians.  Academy members have been successful in competitions and have played for globally recognized musicians.

Completed Chautauqua Institution’s School of Music (2022, 2023, and 2024). He received a full scholarship for these 3 years in CHQ MSFO summer festivals.
